Marion and Van Meter: A Great Team
At Marion Mixers, we pride ourselves on having close and long lasting relationships with not only our customers but also our suppliers. One of our closest partners is the Van Meter Inc. branch in Cedar Rapids, with all the amazing people there. Van Meter is a 100% employee-owned company that supplies us with top-of-the-line power transmission equipment, including motors, gearboxes, and variable speed drives. We trust some of their products, like the Baldor Super-E Motor, so much that we feature them in most of our equipment. Recently Van Meter’s Doug Cooley spent an afternoon on our floor, checking out some of Marion Mixer’s products that use Van Meter’s innovative motors. They’re just as proud to see their products used in our equipment, as we are to work with them. It was great opportunity to not only spread the word about our mixers but also to spend time with our friend Doug.
We not only enjoy working with Van Meter because of the high quality products and services they provide, but also because they share our commitment to community, customer service, and honesty. As they like to say, “We don’t run the business to make a profit…we make a profit to run the business”. That is certainly something we can agree with!
